Product description
PeriVasc Air Unit Model 01
The PeriVasc Air Unit Model 01 (PVAU M01) is a versatile 2-channel air system for inflating and deflating cuffs with a pre-defined pressure, by manual or automatic (sequence) control. The PVAU M01 is designed to be a research/development instrument.
Controlling inflate and deflate
The two channels of the PVAU M01 could run independently and each channel features three different states ”inflate”, ”deflate” and ”float”. The “float“ state locks the current cuff pressure in a contained volume which is the prerequisite for air plethysmographic measurements which, for instance, is used to quantify integral venouse insufficiency in the lower limb. Furter, channel one could be switched from Set 1 pressure to Set 2 pressure which supports a fast switch of a, for instance, arterial suprasystolic to vein occlusion pressurized cuff. To be used for arterial inflow measurements with a ischemic provocation.
The different states of the channels are controlled by either 1) the push-button system on the front panel, 2) foot-pedal control or a 3) Internal sequence protocol (custom designed). The PVAU M01 connects with a PC via a USB/COM – port. The PVSW G could be used to record data from the PVAU M01 for further processing. The protocol interface to the PVUA M01specified so a custom designed PC software could be developed.
Built in sequence protocol
PVAU M01 supports custom made sequence protocols
(up to 5). A protocol can hold any combination of “inflate”, “deflate”, “float” states based on triggers:
1) front activation, 2)foot pedal activation or 3) built in timer function.
For instance a sequence corresponding to:
inflate channel 1 – hold 10 sec – go to float state – wait for foot pedal activation – delflate could easily be programmed into the PVAU M01 as a sequence protocol.

Monitoring the PVAU M01 data
A wide range of applications using air filled cuffs for venouse or arterial occlusion and air plethysmographic applications.

Usage/Application:
All data in the PVAU could be transferred to a computer using the USB/COM port on the rear panel. For instance, streaming the cuff (pressure) data is done by a command sent to the PVAU M01 and data will be streamed for further processing or storage on the computer’s hard drive.
See the PVAU M01 Communication Interface for more information on how to access the PVAU via the USB/COM interface.
See the software PVSW G specification for recording, storage and analysis.
